Maxey Parish Council is one of about 8,700 parish and town councils in England, serving some 30% of the population as their most direct tier of government and responsible for a combined budget of £493m. That is an average of about £20 for every parishioner. Individual budgets range from £100 to over £1million. Maxey's leans towards the former!

Maxey Parish Council meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month* in the backroom of the Village Hall at 7.30 pm. Meetings are open to the public. The MPC comprises of 6 councillors and a Clerk to the Parish. They are:
