What We Archive
The maxey.co.uk web site has been archiving published material since 1999. It is collated here and made available for your use.
Keeping all previous pages 'live' and available in html proved an onerous task and one that required a considerable degree of maintenance.
We therefore took the decision that when web pages, deemed to be past their 'view by date' and ready for archiving, would be converted to Adobe Acrobat file format.
This is a near-universal format that is free (see details below for getting your own copy), and easy to administrate.
It preserves the original layout of the specific web page that has been archived with all fonts, graphics, photos and layout intact. However, as the pages will now be viewed 'out of context', hyper-links within the document will no longer be valid.
Set up correctly, Adobe Acrobat will merge seamlessly with your web browser and will load up the selected files for viewing in an Acrobat screen embedded within your browser. Confused? Don't be. Try it, you'll like it.

Most modern PCs come with an Acrobat Reader pre-installed. If your machine does not have the necessary software to view the archived files, don't worry. It's only a free download away.
