Maxey Parish Council
Quarterly News Update - March 2008

Despite my pleas in the last edition there are still vacancies on the council. It is important that this village has an active and complete Parish Council as more powers are devolved locally. Anyone who requires any further information should contact me.

In conjunction with Cllr. Hiller the Council will press for permanent illuminated speed signs in the village. We expect further speed checks in the near future.

The Council has expressed concern over the amount of on street parking and the situation is being monitored.

We have been informed that work is about to commence on the site at 45 High Street in accordance with the approved plan.Golfers will note that the application to build a golf course at Lolham has been approved by PCC.

Those living in West End Road will be pleased to know that there are plans to resurface the eastern end this year.
