The Maxey Parish Council sponsored Photography Competition - run in conjunction with Maxey Life Magazine - attracted a variety of interpretations of the Community Spirit theme.

Most entrants focused on three central subject areas - water, the church and people with various shots in and around the 'pits' along with St Peter's featuring strongly.

The judging team of Trevor Purllant (Maxey Parish Council), Mike Boughton (Professional Photographer) and Ian Duncan (Maxey Life) were unanimous in their choice of overall winner - Rebecca Braid (age 12) who won the Best Overall Photograph as well as the 12 - 16 Age Group.

Our overall winner - Rebecca Braid - has her photograph featured on the front cover of the December 2009 issue of Maxey Life.

The centre pages also feature an uncropped version of her image as well as the two other category winners.
